Choosing wedding bands is now fun, since the world has offered more than just the common gold. You could either choose the usual gold band to bind you and your fiancé forever, or you could choose other alternatives such as silver, platinum, rose gold or more.
Any kind of metal, in retrospect, is enough for anyone in love and gearing up for the next stage of their lives, which is marriage. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be glamourous while also making sure that the metal actually lasts for a long time, lest it chips and breaks after two years or so. Don’t let that happen to what supposedly symbolises your eternal love. Get the good stuff.
Yellow Gold
Of course, we have the classic band for wedding rings that has been common throughout so many years. Your parents, your grandparents and your grandparents’ grandparents married with yellow gold wedding ring. At least most family trees have, so you cannot deny that this is the most common. And you can never really go wrong with going for the classics.
White Gold
It’s gold but brighter and gives off a really sparkly shine, not unlike diamonds would at times. Technically, you are still going for a classic here, since it’s technically still gold. However, the only downside to this is that re-plating may be needed to be done in the future, as the whiteness would fade over time. Still, white gold is pretty much a sweet deal.
Platinum
If you want something that’s been popular due to its hardness and longevity, then platinum is the way to go. They’re also pretty much rare, which makes it a little more special to be wed using them. Rarity and longevity, something really amazing to be put together for something that is involved in love and marriage.
Silver
Another classic that sits right next to gold, basically. It’s one of the long-standing precious metal that goes down in history, marks itself as gold’s cooler, younger brother, and has a sort of symbolism that is good for weddings.
Rose Gold
A personal favourite that has been getting really popular in the recent years. It’s still just the typical gold except it’s been produced right next to copper to get that romantic pink shine to it. It’s modernised and is beautiful, something you and your future spouse will appreciate as time goes by and you two are still going strong.
A little extra tip; for the ones who are allergic to some metals, you are best paired with tungsten, as it is hypoallergenic.
Pick the metal that you think is the best for you and your love. If you must, go for the kind that lasts long, some beautiful jewellery at affordable prices. Something like that ought to be relevant in wedding rings and weddings ring bands, after all.
